What Yotpo does

Yotpo collects and shows product reviews and customer photos and runs loyalty, rewards and referral programs for online stores on Shopify, BigCommerce, Adobe Commerce, WooCommerce, Salesforce Commerce Cloud and custom stores. Its widgets load on product pages, rewards pages and Shopify checkout, and it pulls orders from the store to send review requests and feed loyalty programs, so an outage shows in both the merchant admin and the storefront.

What an outage looks like

The admin redirects to a page reading 'Looks like something has gone wrong' after login, as on April 23, 2026, or the Moderation or Loyalty pages will not load. On the storefront, reviews or the rewards widget disappear, and on May 17-18, 2026 the rewards widget stopped loading on Shopify checkout for about 17 hours. Order imports, webhooks and loyalty reminder events can also arrive late.

What to do about it

Check status.yotpo.com, which splits Reviews and UGC from Loyalty and Referrals, each with Admin, API, Widgets and Database rows. Recent incidents say missed earning rules are retried automatically and missed reminder events retriggered; an AWS delay to order ingestion and webhooks expected no data loss. If it persists, use the admin's chat bubble: Premium and Enterprise plans can start a live chat, Starter and Pro can open a case.

Is Yotpo down or is it just my store?

If status.yotpo.com shows no incident, start with your store. Yotpo's Reviews Widget troubleshooting guide says missing reviews usually mean the main JavaScript is absent or carries the wrong app key, the platform plugin is not activated, the review is not published, or the product ID changed. Newly published or imported reviews can take up to 4 hours to appear on the widget.

Does a Shopify outage affect Yotpo?

Yes, for loyalty features on Shopify stores. On June 3, 2026 Yotpo reported failures creating point redemptions and showing loyalty widgets because of an ongoing Shopify outage, and posted the incident as resolved about five hours later. During a separate July 10, 2026 incident Yotpo noted that Shopify webhook deliveries that fail are retried automatically by Shopify.

Will Yotpo lose orders or points during an outage?

Usually not, though some calls may need resending. During an AWS incident on May 8, 2026, Yotpo said order ingestion and webhook delivery would be delayed with no data loss expected. On July 10, 2026 it said failed order or customer processing API calls would need to be retried once service returned. After a June 30 bug, missed earning rules were retried and points awarded automatically.

How long do Yotpo outages usually last?

Most recent ones lasted under two hours. A Loyalty degradation caused by a LaunchDarkly incident on July 10, 2026 was resolved about 40 minutes after Yotpo posted it, the April 23 login failure took about 1 hour 45 minutes, and the Moderation page outage on July 7 about 15 minutes. Longer ones exist: the Shopify checkout rewards widget was down about 17 hours in May 2026.

What does the check on this page measure?

It loads login.yotpo.com, the sign-in page Yotpo's website links to for the admin. It does not sign in, so it would miss a failure after login like April 23, 2026, and it does not test the review or loyalty widgets on your storefront, order syncing or the API, which status.yotpo.com tracks as separate rows. A green result means the login page answers, not that widgets render or that reviews and points are being processed.

How we measure this

We request Yotpo's public endpoint every 6 hours from Fly.io regions across six continents — the most recent check ran from 8 of them. When you open this page and our last check is more than 30 minutes old, we check again on the spot; those checks update the verdict, never the availability figures.
A region counts as down only when it gets no usable HTTP response. A 403 or 429 means the origin answered and refused us, which we report as blocked, never as an outage.
A single failing region is treated as probe noise. Our checks only change their verdict when two consecutive cycles agree.
Response times average only the regions that actually served the page, so a timeout never inflates the number.
Where Yotpo publishes an official status feed we read it too, and the verdict is the worse of what it reports and what our checks see: a major outage of Yotpo itself is Down, trouble with one part of it is Degraded, problems at a few of a provider's many locations change nothing, and a security notice that marks nothing down is shown but changes nothing either.
