Xero uptime
Measured from multiple regions every 6 hours. Percentages count only checks that returned an availability answer — 20 days measured so far. A dash means that window does not yet hold enough measured days to publish a figure.

Each region runs its own request from a different part of the world. A service can be up for one continent and down for another, which is usually the first sign of a routing or CDN problem.
What Xero does
Xero is cloud accounting software for small businesses and the bookkeepers and accountants who work with them. It covers invoicing, bank reconciliation, expenses, fixed assets, payroll in some countries and the tax returns that follow. Bank feeds and invoicing run through it continuously, so an outage stops billing and month-end work rather than merely hiding a report.
What an outage looks like
Invoices, bills and quotes fail to save or send. Bank reconciliation stalls, either because the feed has not imported or because a match will not commit. Reports time out or return partial figures. Payroll pay runs cannot be posted, which matters most in the days before a pay date. The login page may load normally while the organisation behind it will not open.
What to do about it
Check status.xero.com, which lists Invoicing, Bills and Quotes, Bank Reconciliation, Expenses, Reporting, Fixed Assets and Contacts as separate components, alongside AU Payroll and per-country tax reporting for Australia, New Zealand, Singapore and Canada. A regional tax component can be degraded while core invoicing works normally. If you integrate through the API rather than the web app, Xero runs a separate page at status.developer.xero.com.
Is it down for everyone, or just you?
If this page says Xero is up but it is not loading for you, the problem is between you and them. Run a check against any URL from all 18 regions to find out where it breaks.

How we measure this
- We request Xero's public endpoint every 6 hours from Fly.io regions across six continents — 8 of them answered the most recent check.
- A region counts as down only when it gets no usable HTTP response. A
403or429means the origin answered and refused us, which we report as blocked, never as an outage. - A single failing region is treated as probe noise. We only change the verdict when two consecutive cycles agree.
- Response times average only the regions that actually served the page, so a timeout never inflates the number.
- Where Xero publishes an official status feed we read it too. An all-clear from the vendor can soften an unconfirmed degradation; a vendor-declared outage only worsens our verdict when our own checks corroborate it.
