Measured by FlareWarden's own checks of tastytrade.com from multiple regions every 6 hours. tastytrade's status page sets the verdict above when it reports trouble, but never these figures. Percentages count only checks that returned an availability answer — 17 days measured so far. A dash means that window does not yet hold enough measured days to publish a figure.

What tastytrade does

tastytrade, formerly tastyworks, is a US broker-dealer built for self-directed active traders, with a focus on options and futures. Customers trade stocks, ETFs, options, futures, cryptocurrency and event contracts through a downloadable desktop platform, a web platform at my.tastytrade.com and iOS and Android apps. Cryptocurrency transactions and custody are provided by Zero Hash, and tastytrade does not give investment advice.

What an outage looks like

The connection status indicator, bottom left on the desktop platform, stops showing Connected; the web platform's indicator can read Disconnected or Delayed Quotes. Sign-in can fail outright: on February 21, 2026 login was unavailable for about 100 minutes. Other incidents hit one product only, such as delayed quotes for about 105 minutes on June 5, 2026 and cryptocurrency trading unavailable for 22 minutes on July 14, 2026.

What to do about it

Check status.tastytrade.com, which reports Equities, Options, Futures, Cryptocurrency, Quotes and Account Management separately. If only the desktop app looks stuck, restart it, which tastytrade says always refreshes it, or try the web platform at my.tastytrade.com. To place or close an order while the platforms are down, call the Trade Desk at 1-888-247-1963, or +1-312-724-7075 from outside the US. tastytrade does not accept orders by email.

Is it down for everyone, or just you?

If this page says tastytrade is up but it is not loading for you, the problem is between you and them. Run a check against any URL from up to 17 cities across three regions to find out where it breaks.

tastytrade outage FAQ

Can I place or close a trade by phone if tastytrade is down?
Yes, during staffed hours. tastytrade's contact page says to submit an order through the platform or by calling the Trade Desk at 1-888-247-1963, and lists +1-312-724-7075 as the local and international line. Both run 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM Central, Monday to Thursday, and 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM on Friday. Email is not an option: tastytrade cannot place, modify or cancel orders sent by email.
Who can I reach when the phone lines are closed?
For futures questions or help in the overnight session, 5:00 PM to 7:00 AM Central, tastytrade asks customers to email futures@tastytrade.com. The chat icon in the bottom right of the web browser opens a chatbot that can hand you to live support, and tastytrade says the chatbot covers the hours outside the market. If you are locked out of your account, support@tastytrade.com handles it after verifying your identity.
Does a tastytrade outage affect every product at once?
Not usually. The status page lists Equities, Options, Futures, Cryptocurrency, Quotes and Account Management as separate components. The February 21, 2026 login outage took all six down, but the cryptocurrency incidents on April 17 and July 14, 2026 affected only Cryptocurrency, and the June 5, 2026 delay affected only Quotes. Cryptocurrency transactions and custody run through Zero Hash rather than tastytrade itself.
My platform shows stale orders or Markets Closed. Is tastytrade down?
Not necessarily. Markets Closed is one of four states the web platform's status indicator shows, alongside Connected, Disconnected and Delayed Quotes. On desktop, the refresh button in the orders window restores working orders and activity that got hung up, but it does not refresh quotes or reconnect a lost network connection. tastytrade suggests signing out and closing the platform each day so it starts with a fresh connection.
I cannot sign in on a VPN or work network. Is it an outage?
Check your own connection first. tastytrade's help center says connection problems through a proxy or VPN can come from those settings or a firewall, and its fix for the app is to click Advanced Options under the Sign In button, choose Reset, then OK, and sign in again. If login fails everywhere and status.tastytrade.com shows Account Management affected, the problem is on tastytrade's side.

How we measure this

  • We request tastytrade's public endpoint every 6 hours from Fly.io regions across six continents — the most recent check ran from 8 of them. When you open this page and our last check is more than 30 minutes old, we check again on the spot; those checks update the verdict, never the availability figures.
  • A region counts as down only when it gets no usable HTTP response. A 403 or 429 means the origin answered and refused us, which we report as blocked, never as an outage.
  • A single failing region is treated as probe noise. Our checks only change their verdict when two consecutive cycles agree.
  • Response times average only the regions that actually served the page, so a timeout never inflates the number.
  • Where tastytrade publishes an official status feed we read it too, and the verdict is the worse of what it reports and what our checks see: a major outage of tastytrade itself is Down, trouble with one part of it is Degraded, problems at a few of a provider's many locations change nothing, and a security notice that marks nothing down is shown but changes nothing either. We check the feed every 3 minutes and read it again within minutes of any change to its incidents or components; a reading counts for 45 minutes after the last check that found nothing changed. The availability figures above are our measurement alone.
