Measured by FlareWarden's own checks of portal.victorops.com from multiple regions every 6 hours. Splunk On-Call's status page sets the verdict above when it reports trouble, but never these figures. Percentages count only checks that returned an availability answer — 4 days measured so far. A dash means that window does not yet hold enough measured days to publish a figure.

What Splunk On-Call does

Splunk On-Call is Splunk's on-call scheduling and incident response service; its status page and web client still use the VictorOps name. It takes in alerts from monitoring tools by API and email, routes them to whoever is on call, and pages people by SMS, phone and push notifications to the iOS and Android apps. Engineers acknowledge and work incidents in the web client at portal.victorops.com or the apps.

What an outage looks like

The web client at portal.victorops.com and the mobile apps fail to load, or the Home, Incidents and Timeline tabs are unavailable (October 8 and 15, 2026). Worse for an on-call team is alerts not arriving: email alert ingestion stopped for about 80 minutes on November 13, 2025, and Custom Paging Policies were disrupted for about a day from March 23, 2026.

What to do about it

Check status.victorops.com, which Splunk's system status page links as victorops.statuspage.io. It lists alert ingestion, each notification channel, the web client and the mobile apps separately. If only the web client or apps are down, paging may still work: on November 6, 2025 Splunk said alert ingestion and paging notifications were unaffected. If Custom Paging Policies are named, switch to your primary paging policy, as Splunk advised.

Is it down for everyone, or just you?

If this page says Splunk On-Call is up but it is not loading for you, the problem is between you and them. Run a check against any URL from up to 17 cities across three regions to find out where it breaks.

Splunk On-Call outage FAQ

Will I still get paged if the Splunk On-Call web client is down?
Often yes. In the November 6, 2025 web and mobile loading incident Splunk said alert ingestion and paging notifications were unaffected, and during the November 18 network disruption it said notifications, the web client and the mobile app were operational while it investigated. Check the Alert Ingestion and Notifications rows on status.victorops.com to be sure.
Why are my Splunk On-Call custom paging policies not working?
On March 23, 2026 Splunk identified an issue that impacted Custom Paging Policies, resolved about a day later. While it lasted, Splunk asked users to revert to a diversified primary paging policy in their user profile so they would not miss critical notifications. If the Custom Paging Policies row is red again, do the same.
Is Splunk On-Call covered by the Splunk Cloud status page?
No. Splunk Cloud Platform reports on status.splunkcloud.com, and Splunk On-Call has its own page at status.victorops.com. Splunk's system status page links both. A Splunk Cloud search outage does not mean paging is down, and the reverse. If paging is your concern, read the Alert Ingestion and Notifications rows on the On-Call page.
What does FlareWarden check for Splunk On-Call?
It requests the sign-in page of the web client, portal.victorops.com/membership/, from several regions. That shows whether the web client answers. It does not send an alert or a page, so a fault in alert ingestion or one notification channel shows on status.victorops.com first. Read both together.

How we measure this

  • We request Splunk On-Call's public endpoint every 6 hours from Fly.io regions across six continents — the most recent check ran from 8 of them. When you open this page and our last check is more than 30 minutes old, we check again on the spot; those checks update the verdict, never the availability figures.
  • A region counts as down only when it gets no usable HTTP response. A 403 or 429 means the origin answered and refused us, which we report as blocked, never as an outage.
  • A single failing region is treated as probe noise. Our checks only change their verdict when two consecutive cycles agree.
  • Response times average only the regions that actually served the page, so a timeout never inflates the number.
  • Where Splunk On-Call publishes an official status feed we read it too, and the verdict is the worse of what it reports and what our checks see: a major outage of Splunk On-Call itself is Down, trouble with one part of it is Degraded, problems at a few of a provider's many locations change nothing, and a security notice that marks nothing down is shown but changes nothing either. We check the feed every 3 minutes and read it again within minutes of any change to its incidents or components; a reading counts for 45 minutes after the last check that found nothing changed. The availability figures above are our measurement alone.
