Spiceworks uptime
Measured from multiple regions every 6 hours. Percentages count only checks that returned an availability answer — 2 days measured so far. A dash means that window does not yet hold enough measured days to publish a figure.

Reachability by region
Each region runs its own request from a different part of the world. A service can be up for one continent and down for another, which is usually the first sign of a routing or CDN problem.
What Spiceworks does
Spiceworks runs a large community forum for IT professionals alongside a set of free tools: a Cloud Help Desk for ticketing, Inventory Online for tracking hardware and software, and a Connectivity Dashboard. Small IT teams use the help desk as their only ticketing system, so an outage stops incoming requests being recorded rather than merely closing a discussion board.
What an outage looks like
The Cloud Help Desk will not load, so new tickets are not captured and technicians cannot see their queue. Sign-in may fail even where the public site responds normally. Spiceworks tracks its website, community, help desk, Connectivity Dashboard and Inventory Online as five separate components, so a forum that loads is no evidence the ticketing system does.
What to do about it
Check status.spiceworks.com, which reports Spiceworks Website, Spiceworks Community, Cloud Help Desk, Connectivity Dashboard and Inventory Online separately. If the help desk is the affected component, tell staff to send requests by email or chat and log them once it returns, because a request typed into a dead form is not queued anywhere. Scheduled maintenance is announced on the same page.
Is it down for everyone, or just you?

How we measure this
- We request Spiceworks's public endpoint every 6 hours from Fly.io regions across six continents — 8 of them answered the most recent check.
- A region counts as down only when it gets no usable HTTP response. A
403or429means the origin answered and refused us, which we report as blocked, never as an outage. - A single failing region is treated as probe noise. We only change the verdict when two consecutive cycles agree.
- Response times average only the regions that actually served the page, so a timeout never inflates the number.
- Where Spiceworks publishes an official status feed we read it too. An all-clear from the vendor can soften an unconfirmed degradation; a vendor-declared outage only worsens our verdict when our own checks corroborate it.
