Is Sonos Down?
We cannot measure Sonos directly — it blocks automated checks — but Sonos's own status page currently reports no issues.

Sonos uptime
Measured from multiple regions every 6 hours. Percentages count only checks that returned an availability answer. A dash means we have no measurement for that window.
30-day history
Reachability by region
Each region runs its own request from a different part of the world. A service can be up for one continent and down for another, which is usually the first sign of a routing or CDN problem.

What Sonos does
Sonos makes wireless speakers controlled by an app, playing from streaming services, radio and local libraries across multiple rooms. The speakers sit on your own network but account sign-in and the streaming services they play from are external, so an outage can silence hardware that is working perfectly.
What an outage looks like
The app fails to find speakers that are powered and connected to the network. Sign-in to a Sonos account fails, blocking setup and settings changes. Individual music services stop playing while others work, because each service is tracked separately. Voice control through Alexa or Google stops responding, and Sonos Radio returns errors while local content plays normally.
What to do about it
Check status.sonos.com, which reports Sonos Account, Sonos Services, Sonos Radio and voice control separately, and lists the streaming platforms including Spotify, Apple Music, Amazon Music, Tidal and Pandora as their own components. If one service is affected, switch to another rather than resetting speakers, since re-adding a speaker needs the account service that may be down.
Is it down for everyone, or just you?
If this page says Sonos is up but it is not loading for you, the problem is between you and them. Run a check against any URL from all 18 regions to find out where it breaks.

How we measure this
- We request Sonos's public endpoint every 6 hours from Fly.io regions across six continents — 8 of them answered the most recent check.
- A region counts as down only when it gets no usable HTTP response. A
403or429means the origin answered and refused us, which we report as blocked, never as an outage. - A single failing region is treated as probe noise. We only change the verdict when two consecutive cycles agree.
- Response times average only the regions that actually served the page, so a timeout never inflates the number.
- Where Sonos publishes an official status feed we read it too, and let it override us in both directions.
