Measured by FlareWarden's own checks of shockbyte.com from multiple regions every 6 hours. Shockbyte's status page sets the verdict above when it reports trouble, but never these figures. Percentages count only checks that returned an availability answer — 38 days measured so far. A dash means that window does not yet hold enough measured days to publish a figure.

What Shockbyte does

Shockbyte is a game server host that has been running since 2013, best known for Minecraft servers and offering hosting for more than 60 games, including ARK, Rust, Terraria and Valheim. Server owners manage files, backups and settings in the Shockbyte control panel, and billing runs through a separate client area. Its servers sit in locations across North America, Europe, Asia, South America and Australia.

What an outage looks like

Shockbyte incidents usually hit one location at a time: game servers there become unreachable, fail to start, or suffer high latency and packet loss when an upstream network provider has a fault, as in Poland in September 2026. A July 2026 interruption hit game servers in every region. Other incidents have broken parts of the control panel or caused file system errors on newly created servers.

What to do about it

Open status.shockbyte.com and find your server's location, since each data center has its own row beside Control Panel, Billing System and Website. For a network or hardware fault there is nothing to fix on your side. If files were lost, generate a fresh backup first, then restore from the Backups tab. Outages over 5 minutes can earn SLA credit if claimed by support ticket within 7 days.

Is it down for everyone, or just you?

If this page says Shockbyte is up but it is not loading for you, the problem is between you and them. Run a check against any URL from up to 17 cities across three regions to find out where it breaks.

Shockbyte outage FAQ

Is my Shockbyte server down or is it Shockbyte?
If your location's row on status.shockbyte.com is green and the control panel loads, the cause is more likely on the server itself. Shockbyte's SLA separates the two: network and hardware outages are Shockbyte's, while crashes from game software, plugins, mods, configuration or running out of allocated CPU, RAM or disk are not covered. Check the server console for errors before opening a ticket.
Can I get compensation for Shockbyte downtime?
Yes, under Shockbyte's SLA, for network or hardware outages longer than 5 consecutive minutes, and for unmitigated DDoS attacks. Compensation is service credit equal to the downtime, rounded up to a whole day with a minimum of 1 day. The account owner or billing contact must submit the claim by support ticket within seven days. Planned maintenance and software crashes are excluded.
Will I lose my Minecraft world in a Shockbyte outage?
Restore from a backup if an outage leaves files corrupted or missing. Shockbyte's guide says to generate a new backup of the damaged files first, since some may be recoverable, then open the Backups tab in the control panel, pick the most recent backup from before the loss, and click Restore.
How long do Shockbyte outages usually last?
Most resolve within a few hours. Recent incidents on status.shockbyte.com include a 43-minute failure of servers to start in NA East in July 2026, a roughly three-hour Frankfurt outage in June 2026, and about eight hours of packet loss in Poland in September 2026 while an upstream provider fixed its network. A July 2026 interruption across all regions stayed open about 21 hours, with Oregon and Melbourne the last to recover.

How we measure this

  • We request Shockbyte's public endpoint every 6 hours from Fly.io regions across six continents — the most recent check ran from 8 of them. When you open this page and our last check is more than 30 minutes old, we check again on the spot; those checks update the verdict, never the availability figures.
  • A region counts as down only when it gets no usable HTTP response. A 403 or 429 means the origin answered and refused us, which we report as blocked, never as an outage.
  • A single failing region is treated as probe noise. Our checks only change their verdict when two consecutive cycles agree.
  • Response times average only the regions that actually served the page, so a timeout never inflates the number.
  • Where Shockbyte publishes an official status feed we read it too, and the verdict is the worse of what it reports and what our checks see: a major outage of Shockbyte itself is Down, trouble with one part of it is Degraded, problems at a few of a provider's many locations change nothing, and a security notice that marks nothing down is shown but changes nothing either. We check the feed every 3 minutes and read it again within minutes of any change to its incidents or components; a reading counts for 45 minutes after the last check that found nothing changed. The availability figures above are our measurement alone.
