Reachability by region

Each region runs its own request from a different part of the world. A service can be up for one continent and down for another, which is usually the first sign of a routing or CDN problem.

What ShipHero does

ShipHero is a warehouse management system used by ecommerce brands and third-party logistics providers. It pulls orders in from stores such as Shopify, BigCommerce and TikTok Shop, directs picking and packing through a barcode-scanning mobile app, tracks inventory, and rate-shops and prints labels across carriers including UPS, FedEx, USPS and DHL. When it stops, orders stop leaving the building.

What an outage looks like

Most often, labels will not print: rate quotes fail, a carrier returns errors, or labels cannot be opened. Orders on the shipping screen may show 'We cannot process this order'. Wider incidents take down the dashboard and mobile app together, so pickers cannot scan. Store integration problems show up as orders arriving late from Shopify or another channel while the warehouse screens still work.

What to do about it

Check status.shiphero.com, which lists the Mobile App, Dashboard, Store Integrations, Label Printing, Public API and Authentication separately. If only Label Printing is affected, read the incident text: it usually names the carrier or gateway at fault, so you know which shipments to reroute. ShipHero's help center keeps a page of carrier status links for UPS, USPS, FedEx, DHL, Shippo and others to check next.

Is it down for everyone, or just you?

If this page says ShipHero is up but it is not loading for you, the problem is between you and them. Run a check against any URL from up to 17 cities across three regions to find out where it breaks.

ShipHero outage FAQ

Is ShipHero down or is it the carrier?
Often it is the carrier. Label Printing is the row ShipHero flags most: 28 of its 50 most recent posted incidents touched it, many naming FedEx, UPS, DHL, USPS, Shippo or Veho as the cause. When an incident names a single carrier, move urgent orders to another carrier or service if your contracts allow it, and ship the rest once the incident clears.
Why is Cheapest rate shopping failing in ShipHero?
A connected carrier gateway may be down. In March 2026 a partial Shippo outage blocked ShipHero's Cheapest rate selection for accounts with Shippo connected, while accounts using ShipHero's direct USPS connection were unaffected. In July 2026 ShipHero disabled Veho from quoting after an API change broke it. Check the Label Printing incident text for the carrier or gateway named.
Does the ShipHero mobile app work when the dashboard is down?
Not in a full outage. In the December 2025 system outage and the October 2025 AWS incident, the status page listed the mobile app, dashboard, store integrations and label printing as affected together. Smaller incidents can hit only the app, such as a July 2026 problem with barcode scans not registering during picking.
Should I edit carrier settings during an outage?
No, wait until it is resolved. During a January 2026 USPS API problem, new connections and edits to existing ones were failing, and ShipHero advised customers not to edit their USPS connections until USPS fixed it. It lifted that advice once USPS confirmed its OAuth API was stable again, about two hours after the incident was posted.
Is ShipHero down for everyone or just my warehouse?
Compare the status page with this page's checks from several regions. If both are healthy, look locally: warehouse Wi-Fi, a scanner or printer, or one user's session. Failures from several regions, or an open incident on the Dashboard or Authentication rows, point to ShipHero itself. The status page offers updates by email, text, Slack or webhook.

How we measure this

  • We request ShipHero's public endpoint every 6 hours from Fly.io regions across six continents — the most recent check ran from 8 of them.
  • A region counts as down only when it gets no usable HTTP response. A 403 or 429 means the origin answered and refused us, which we report as blocked, never as an outage.
  • A single failing region is treated as probe noise. We only change the verdict when two consecutive cycles agree.
  • Response times average only the regions that actually served the page, so a timeout never inflates the number.
  • Where ShipHero publishes an official status feed we read it too. An all-clear from the vendor can soften an unconfirmed degradation; a vendor-declared outage only worsens our verdict when our own checks corroborate it.
