What Savvas Learning does

Savvas Learning Company publishes K-12 curriculum and the digital platforms that deliver it. Realize is the main student and teacher environment, with Realize Reader for digital textbooks and separate products including SuccessMaker, MathXL for School, iLit and Momentum Assessments. EasyBridge handles rostering and single sign-on across those platforms for districts.

What an outage looks like

Students and teachers cannot sign in to Realize, or lessons load without their content. A distinct failure is EasyBridge, the rostering and single sign-on layer: when it is down users are blocked at the login step even though Realize itself is operational, and class rosters can be missing or stale after a failed sync.

What to do about it

Check status.savvas.com and read the component. Savvas reports Realize, Realize Reader, Realize Reports, EasyBridge, SuccessMaker, Momentum Assessments, MathXL for School, iLit and Outlier.org separately, so one product can be down while the rest of the day runs normally. If EasyBridge is the failing component, the problem is sign-in and rostering rather than the courseware, and district IT will need to act.

Is it down for everyone, or just you?

Savvas Learning outage FAQ

Students cannot log in to Realize, but the status page says Realize is operational.
Check EasyBridge. It is the rostering and single sign-on layer that connects district student information systems to Realize, SuccessMaker, MathXL for School and other Savvas platforms, and it is reported as its own component. When EasyBridge fails, users are stopped at the login step while Realize itself serves normally, which is exactly what you are seeing.
Are missing or wrong class rosters a Savvas outage?
They can be. EasyBridge Auto synchronises rosters from district systems on a nightly schedule, so a failed sync leaves classes incomplete or stale the following morning without anything else looking broken. Check the EasyBridge component and raise it with district IT rather than having teachers rebuild classes by hand.
Is Savvas Realize down for the whole district or just one school?
Savvas reports components rather than regions or districts, so its page cannot separate the two. Independent multi-region measurement helps: if outside probes reach Realize normally while one school cannot, the cause is more likely that school's network or content filtering than a Savvas incident. Check whether other schools in the district are affected too.
Do students lose work submitted during a Savvas outage?
Savvas does not publish what happens to work submitted during an incident, so treat the affected window as uncertain. Realize Reports is a separate component from Realize, which means submitted work can also exist but be temporarily invisible in reporting. Check again after both components recover before asking students to redo an assignment.
Which Savvas products go down together?
Not necessarily any of them. Realize, Realize Reader, Realize Reports, SuccessMaker, Momentum Assessments, my Savvas Training, MathXL for School, iLit and Outlier.org are each reported separately. The exception worth watching is EasyBridge, since sign-on and rostering sit in front of several platforms at once, so an EasyBridge incident is felt across products.

How we measure this

  • We request Savvas Learning's public endpoint every 6 hours from Fly.io regions across six continents — the most recent check ran from 8 of them.
  • A region counts as down only when it gets no usable HTTP response. A 403 or 429 means the origin answered and refused us, which we report as blocked, never as an outage.
  • A single failing region is treated as probe noise. We only change the verdict when two consecutive cycles agree.
  • Response times average only the regions that actually served the page, so a timeout never inflates the number.
  • Where Savvas Learning publishes an official status feed we read it too. An all-clear from the vendor can soften an unconfirmed degradation; a vendor-declared outage only worsens our verdict when our own checks corroborate it.
