Canada Post & Purolator Delivery Delays – Wildfire Impact

minor monitoring

Canada Post and Purolator may be experiencing operational delays in deliveries due to wildfires. We are actively monitoring the situation and apologize for any inconvenience this causes.

Components the vendor reports as affected: Canada Shipping Degraded Performance

A component listed here does not necessarily mean a full outage — large providers routinely report maintenance on individual locations. It only affects the verdict above when the vendor marks it major or critical and our own checks also saw Poshmark fail from enough regions to rule out probe noise.

Reachability by region

Each region runs its own request from a different part of the world. A service can be up for one continent and down for another, which is usually the first sign of a routing or CDN problem.

What Poshmark does

Poshmark is a resale marketplace for clothing, shoes and accessories, where sellers list from their own closets and buyers browse a feed built around sharing and following. Naver owns it. For the people who sell on it full time it is a storefront and an income, so an outage during a posting party or a weekend rush costs real sales rather than convenience.

What an outage looks like

Listings fail to publish or upload photos, and shares and follows silently do nothing. The feed loads empty or shows stale items. Checkout errors at payment, so buyers abandon carts on listings that look available. Shipping label generation fails, leaving sold items unshippable. Push and email notifications for offers and sales stop, so sellers miss time-limited offers entirely.

What to do about it

Poshmark runs a status page at status.poshmark.com that breaks the service into mobile apps, website, checkout, shipping, and push and email notifications, with incident history alongside. Match your symptom to a component there. Label problems are frequently carrier-side rather than Poshmark-side, so check whether the incident names a carrier before contacting support about a sale you cannot ship.

Is it down for everyone, or just you?

If this page says Poshmark is up but it is not loading for you, the problem is between you and them. Run a check against any URL from all 18 regions to find out where it breaks.

Poshmark outage FAQ

Is Poshmark down or is it just my app?
Open poshmark.com in a phone browser. If the site works and the app does not, the problem is the app: a pending update, a cached session, or a network refusing its traffic. If both fail, check the status page, which reports mobile apps and the website as separate components and can show one broken while the other is fine.
A buyer paid but I cannot print a shipping label. What now?
Check whether the incident names a carrier rather than Poshmark. Label generation depends on carrier systems, and Poshmark has posted incidents about label outages and delivery delays tied to a specific carrier. The sale and the payment are unaffected while this is happening. Wait for the component to clear, then generate the label, and message the buyer so the delay is not a surprise.
Will my listing publish if it failed during an outage?
Not on its own. A listing that errored during upload is generally not queued for retry, so check your closet once service returns and re-post anything missing. Photos are the part that usually fails first on a slow connection. Draft the description somewhere else if you are listing in volume, so a failed upload does not cost you the text as well.
Do offers and sales still count if notifications stop?
Yes, the transactions are real even when the alerts are not arriving. Notification delivery is a separate component from checkout, so buyers can purchase and send offers while sellers hear nothing. The risk is missing an offer that expires. During a notification incident, open the app and check the offers and sales lists directly rather than trusting your notification tray.

How we measure this

  • We request Poshmark's public endpoint every 6 hours from Fly.io regions across six continents — 8 of them answered the most recent check.
  • A region counts as down only when it gets no usable HTTP response. A 403 or 429 means the origin answered and refused us, which we report as blocked, never as an outage.
  • A single failing region is treated as probe noise. We only change the verdict when two consecutive cycles agree.
  • Response times average only the regions that actually served the page, so a timeout never inflates the number.
  • Where Poshmark publishes an official status feed we read it too. An all-clear from the vendor can soften an unconfirmed degradation; a vendor-declared outage only worsens our verdict when our own checks corroborate it.
