Measured by FlareWarden's own checks of pixieset.com from multiple regions every 6 hours. Pixieset's status page sets the verdict above when it reports trouble, but never these figures. Percentages count only checks that returned an availability answer — 36 days measured so far. A dash means that window does not yet hold enough measured days to publish a figure.

What Pixieset does

Pixieset is an online platform for professional photographers. Its Client Gallery delivers and proofs photos and sells prints through a built-in Store, alongside portfolio Websites, Studio Manager for bookings and payments, a Mobile Gallery App and a Photo Editor. When it fails, photographers cannot upload or deliver work, and their clients cannot open galleries, download photos or book sessions.

What an outage looks like

Client galleries and Pixieset-hosted websites fail to load or show intermittent errors, uploads stall or photos sit unprocessed, and gallery email invites stay 'Pending' or never arrive. A Studio Manager outage takes down the dashboard, documents, booking sites and the Studio Manager app together. Email delivery problems have at times hit only some providers, such as messages sent to Yahoo, AOL and Verizon addresses.

What to do about it

Check status.pixieset.com, linked as Service Status in the pixieset.com footer; it rates Client Gallery, Website, Studio Manager, Photo Editor and the mobile app separately, plus email delivery, photo processing and login. If invites are not arriving, open the collection, choose Share, then Get Direct Link, and send it by text, as Pixieset advised during an email incident. Rejected invites are never retried, so re-send them.

Is it down for everyone, or just you?

If this page says Pixieset is up but it is not loading for you, the problem is between you and them. Run a check against any URL from up to 17 cities across three regions to find out where it breaks.

Pixieset outage FAQ

Is Pixieset down for everyone or just me?
Compare the rows on status.pixieset.com before assuming an outage. Client Gallery, Website, Studio Manager, Photo Editor and Mobile Gallery App are listed separately, with Email Delivery, Photo Processing and Login Services under Services. If every row is operational and only uploads fail, Pixieset's troubleshooting guide points to file format, special characters in filenames, an outdated browser or your internet connection.
Will gallery email invites still go out once Pixieset recovers?
It depends on the status shown under More, then View email history in the collection. Pending means Pixieset is still sending it, which normally takes a couple of minutes. Sent means it reached the recipient's mail server, so ask the client to check spam. Rejected means it bounced, and Pixieset will not re-deliver it, so send it again or share a direct link.
Can I still share a gallery if Pixieset email is failing?
Yes, as long as the gallery itself loads. Open the collection, click the arrow next to Share and choose Get Direct Link, then send that link by text message or from your own email account. Pixieset gave the same advice during an incident in which emails to Yahoo, AOL and Verizon addresses were not being delivered.
How long do Pixieset outages usually last?
Usually not long. The large majority of incidents in Pixieset's public status history were marked resolved within four hours, many within an hour, though partial problems such as provider-specific email delivery issues have run longer. Planned maintenance is posted on the same status page in advance and has typically been scheduled from 10pm Pacific time.
Does a Pixieset outage take down my website and Studio Manager too?
Sometimes. Pixieset's status history includes platform-wide incidents that hit Client Gallery, Website, Studio Manager and the mobile app at once, but also incidents confined to one product, such as Studio Manager alone or email delivery alone. Check which rows are marked on status.pixieset.com to see whether your booking site and portfolio are affected or only galleries.

How we measure this

  • We request Pixieset's public endpoint every 6 hours from Fly.io regions across six continents — the most recent check ran from 8 of them. When you open this page and our last check is more than 30 minutes old, we check again on the spot; those checks update the verdict, never the availability figures.
  • A region counts as down only when it gets no usable HTTP response. A 403 or 429 means the origin answered and refused us, which we report as blocked, never as an outage.
  • A single failing region is treated as probe noise. Our checks only change their verdict when two consecutive cycles agree.
  • Response times average only the regions that actually served the page, so a timeout never inflates the number.
  • Where Pixieset publishes an official status feed we read it too, and the verdict is the worse of what it reports and what our checks see: a major outage of Pixieset itself is Down, trouble with one part of it is Degraded, problems at a few of a provider's many locations change nothing, and a security notice that marks nothing down is shown but changes nothing either. We check the feed every 3 minutes and read it again within minutes of any change to its incidents or components; a reading counts for 45 minutes after the last check that found nothing changed. The availability figures above are our measurement alone.
