Reachability by region

Each region runs its own request from a different part of the world. A service can be up for one continent and down for another, which is usually the first sign of a routing or CDN problem.

What Mindbody does

Mindbody is booking and business management software for gyms, studios, salons and spas, covering class schedules, memberships, payments and the consumer app clients book through. It also runs Booker and FitMetrix. A studio's front desk, its card processing and its customer-facing booking all sit inside the same system.

What an outage looks like

Clients cannot book or cancel in the app or the web widget, and the schedule shows empty or stale. Staff cannot check people in or sell memberships, so classes start without a roster. Card payments fail or appear to process twice. Automated client emails and class reminders stop, and staff sign-in on the business app fails.

What to do about it

Check status.mindbodyonline.com, which covers Mindbody, Booker and FitMetrix together and names the affected product and region in each incident, including separate entries for Australia and New Zealand. Take bookings and check-ins on paper rather than asking clients to retry, because repeated submissions during a payment incident are how double charges happen. Reconcile payments and memberships once the incident closes.

Is it down for everyone, or just you?

If this page says Mindbody is up but it is not loading for you, the problem is between you and them. Run a check against any URL from all 18 regions to find out where it breaks.

Mindbody outage FAQ

Is Mindbody down, or is it only my studio's booking page?
Check status.mindbodyonline.com first, since it names the affected product and region in each incident. A branded booking widget embedded in your own website can fail on its own if the site around it changed, while Mindbody itself is fine. If staff also cannot sign in to the business app, that points at Mindbody rather than at your website.
Will payments taken during an outage go through twice?
It is possible, and it is the main risk worth managing. When a card submission times out, the charge may have been authorised even though no confirmation came back, so retrying creates a second one. Take a note of the sale instead of re-running the card, then reconcile against the payment records after the incident closes and refund any duplicate you find.
Does an outage affect the client-facing app as well as the front desk?
Frequently yes, because the consumer booking app and the business software share the same platform. Clients see classes they cannot book, or a schedule that looks empty, at the same time your staff cannot check anyone in. Posting a short note on your own social channels saves your front desk from fielding the same question repeatedly.
Does this status page cover Booker and FitMetrix too?
Yes. Mindbody publishes performance updates for Mindbody, Booker and FitMetrix on one page covering studios, online services and mobile apps, and names which of the three an incident affects. So a Booker incident appears in the same place you would check for Mindbody, and seeing Mindbody named does not mean Booker is affected as well.

How we measure this

  • We request Mindbody's public endpoint every 6 hours from Fly.io regions across six continents — 8 of them answered the most recent check.
  • A region counts as down only when it gets no usable HTTP response. A 403 or 429 means the origin answered and refused us, which we report as blocked, never as an outage.
  • A single failing region is treated as probe noise. We only change the verdict when two consecutive cycles agree.
  • Response times average only the regions that actually served the page, so a timeout never inflates the number.
  • Where Mindbody publishes an official status feed we read it too. An all-clear from the vendor can soften an unconfirmed degradation; a vendor-declared outage only worsens our verdict when our own checks corroborate it.
