Measured by FlareWarden's own checks of lunarclient.com from multiple regions every 2 hours. Lunar Client's status page sets the verdict above when it reports trouble, but never these figures. Percentages count only checks that returned an availability answer — 37 days measured so far. A dash means that window does not yet hold enough measured days to publish a figure.

What Lunar Client does

Lunar Client is a free Minecraft: Java Edition client from Moonsworth, LLC that packs dozens of mods, frame-rate improvements and cosmetics into one launcher for Windows, macOS and Linux. It covers versions from 1.7 to 1.21 and connects to any server that supports the vanilla game. Players sign in with the Microsoft account that owns Java Edition or has it through Xbox Game Pass.

What an outage looks like

Lunar's status page separates its websites, launcher features such as Authentication, Launching and Friends, Hosted Worlds in 17 regions, and external dependencies including Minecraft's session server and CDNs, Modrinth and CurseForge. A launcher that refreshes endlessly, a self signed certificate error, or sign-in failing while every row is green points to your PC: Lunar traces these to a stray package.json file, hosts file edits or interfering software.

What to do about it

Check status.lunarclient.com first. If only an External Dependencies row is red, the fault lies with Minecraft's own services, Modrinth, CurseForge or OptiFine Capes, and Lunar cannot fix it. If all rows are green, delete any package.json in your user folder, remove Mojang, Microsoft or Lunar lines from your hosts file, and delete accounts.json in .lunarclient/settings/game before logging in again. Still stuck: open a ticket at support.lunarclient.com.

Is it down for everyone, or just you?

If this page says Lunar Client is up but it is not loading for you, the problem is between you and them. Run a check against any URL from up to 17 cities across three regions to find out where it breaks.

Lunar Client outage FAQ

Is Lunar Client down or is it just me?
If every row on status.lunarclient.com is operational, the problem is almost certainly on your computer. Lunar's help center says external software can stop the launcher loading or sign-in working, often by adding Mojang, Microsoft or Lunar lines to the hosts file. A launcher that refreshes forever usually means a package.json file sits in your user folder; deleting it fixes the loop.
Why can't I log in to Lunar Client with my Microsoft account?
Your Microsoft account must own Minecraft: Java Edition or have it through Xbox Game Pass, and Lunar does not accept old Mojang accounts. A child account also fails until an adult adds it to a Microsoft Family at family.microsoft.com, or until a wrong birth date is corrected at account.microsoft.com. Lunar notes Minecraft's account system may not be reachable from Russia, China or Iran.
Why can't I join servers on Lunar Client?
If Lunar Client launches but servers refuse you, multiplayer may be disabled on your Microsoft account rather than anything being down. In your Xbox account settings, open Privacy and online safety, then Xbox One/Windows 10 Online Safety, set You can join multiplayer games to Allow and submit. Then log in to your Minecraft account again in Lunar Client.
Does a Minecraft or Mojang outage break Lunar Client?
It can, because Lunar depends on services it does not run. Its status page lists the Minecraft Session Server, Minecraft Launcher CDN and Minecraft Textures CDN under External Dependencies, alongside Modrinth, CurseForge and OptiFine Capes. Lunar Client says it is not affiliated with Mojang or Microsoft, so when one of those rows is red, waiting for that provider is the only fix.
How do I contact Lunar Client support?
Open a ticket at support.lunarclient.com after signing in with your Microsoft account, which links your Minecraft account to the ticket automatically. If you cannot access Minecraft at all, Lunar asks you to email support@lunarclient.com instead. For launch failures or crashes its FAQ also points to a ticket, and its help center covers common launch errors first.

How we measure this

  • We request Lunar Client's public endpoint every 2 hours from Fly.io regions across six continents — the most recent check ran from 12 of them. When you open this page and our last check is more than 30 minutes old, we check again on the spot; those checks update the verdict, never the availability figures.
  • A region counts as down only when it gets no usable HTTP response. A 403 or 429 means the origin answered and refused us, which we report as blocked, never as an outage.
  • A single failing region is treated as probe noise. Our checks only change their verdict when two consecutive cycles agree.
  • Response times average only the regions that actually served the page, so a timeout never inflates the number.
  • Where Lunar Client publishes an official status feed we read it too, and the verdict is the worse of what it reports and what our checks see: a major outage of Lunar Client itself is Down, trouble with one part of it is Degraded, problems at a few of a provider's many locations change nothing, and a security notice that marks nothing down is shown but changes nothing either. A reading counts for 45 minutes; we read the feed again within minutes of any change to its incidents. The availability figures above are our measurement alone.
