Reachability by region

Each region runs its own request from a different part of the world. A service can be up for one continent and down for another, which is usually the first sign of a routing or CDN problem.

What IONOS does

IONOS sells domains, web and WordPress hosting, email, Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace, website builders, VPS, cloud and dedicated servers, all managed from the IONOS Control Panel. For its customers it is the dependency behind their website, their business mailboxes and their domain's DNS. Each country site, such as ionos.com, ionos.co.uk and ionos.de, publishes its own status page, and IONOS Cloud has a separate one.

What an outage looks like

Hosted websites stop loading, sometimes only MyWebsite Now sites. Control Panel login fails, or it opens but areas such as Web Projects, Domains & SSL or invoices are unavailable. Some customers cannot send email; Sending Emails, Receiving Emails and Webmail are separate rows on the status page. VPS reboots fail or the Cloud Panel will not open, and Customer Service may be unable to look up your account.

What to do about it

Open the status page for the country site your contract is with: ionos-status.com for ionos.com, ionos-status.co.uk for ionos.co.uk, ionos-status.de for ionos.de. IONOS Cloud customers use status.ionos.cloud. Then read your product's row, such as Web Hosting, Wordpress Hosting, Sending Emails or VPS, not the headline. If the Support Tool row is degraded, expect support agents to have limited access to your account until it recovers.

Is it down for everyone, or just you?

If this page says IONOS is up but it is not loading for you, the problem is between you and them. Run a check against any URL from up to 17 cities across three regions to find out where it breaks.

IONOS outage FAQ

Why does the IONOS status page say operational when my site is down?
You may be reading another country's page. IONOS runs a separate status page for each country site: ionos-status.com covers ionos.com, while ionos.co.uk, ionos.de, ionos.ca, ionos.fr, ionos.es and ionos.mx each have their own ionos-status domain with a slightly different product list. IONOS Cloud reports on status.ionos.cloud. Open the page for the site your contract is with, then check your product's row.
Is ionos.com being down the same as my IONOS website being down?
No. This page checks www.ionos.com, the IONOS sales site. Customer websites run on hosting products that the status page lists as separate rows, such as Web Hosting, Wordpress Hosting and MyWebsite Now, and incidents usually hit one of those, like 'Some websites may be inaccessible' on Web Hosting on September 24, 2026. The sales site can load while your hosting is down, and the reverse.
How long do IONOS outages usually last?
Most are over within a couple of hours. Of the 50 most recent incidents on ionos-status.com, going back to March 2026, half were resolved within about 1.5 hours and 43 within 9 hours. The long ones were website and server problems, such as a Web Hosting incident on June 30 that lasted about 25 hours and a Cloud Servers disruption on July 6 that lasted about 38 hours.
Can IONOS support help during an outage?
Not always. IONOS tracks its Support Tool as its own status row, and when it is degraded IONOS warns that Customer Service might not be able to answer all questions related to your account. That happened several times between August 20 and September 22, 2026, once alongside Control Panel login trouble. If the Support Tool row is not operational, a call may not get you further than the status page does.
Do I need to act on an IONOS WordPress security notice?
Only if you manage WordPress yourself. For the WordPress core vulnerability IONOS posted on September 22, 2026, affecting versions 4.7.0 through 7.1.1, IONOS said managed WordPress customers needed no action because it was patching their sites, while self-managed WordPress customers had to update immediately. These notices appear under the Wordpress Hosting and Wordpress Pro rows on the status page.

How we measure this

  • We request IONOS's public endpoint every 6 hours from Fly.io regions across six continents — the most recent check ran from 8 of them.
  • A region counts as down only when it gets no usable HTTP response. A 403 or 429 means the origin answered and refused us, which we report as blocked, never as an outage.
  • A single failing region is treated as probe noise. We only change the verdict when two consecutive cycles agree.
  • Response times average only the regions that actually served the page, so a timeout never inflates the number.
  • Where IONOS publishes an official status feed we read it too. An all-clear from the vendor can soften an unconfirmed degradation; a vendor-declared outage only worsens our verdict when our own checks corroborate it.
