Reachability by region

Each region runs its own request from a different part of the world. A service can be up for one continent and down for another, which is usually the first sign of a routing or CDN problem.

What Imagine Learning does

Imagine Learning is a K-12 digital curriculum company whose products now sit under one brand after a series of mergers. Its catalogue spans core curriculum, supplemental and intervention programmes, assessment and full virtual school services. Edgenuity, Odysseyware, StudySync and Twig Science are all part of it, so a district commonly depends on several of its products at once.

What an outage looks like

Students cannot launch a course, or a lesson will not record progress, and it usually affects one product rather than the whole catalogue. Imagine Learning reports Imagine Edgenuity, Imagine EdgeEX and Imagine Odysseyware as separate courseware components and lists Imagine Math, Imagine Language & Literacy, Pathblazer and others individually, so Edgenuity can fail while Imagine Math runs normally.

What to do about it

Check status.imaginelearning.com and find the specific product row, because the page reports dozens of components across Core Curriculum, Courseware, Supplemental & Intervention, Assessment and Virtual School Services. status.edgenuity.com redirects to this same page, so there is no separate Edgenuity status page to check. Tell teachers which product is affected rather than announcing a general outage.

Is it down for everyone, or just you?

If this page says Imagine Learning is up but it is not loading for you, the problem is between you and them. Run a check against any URL from up to 18 cities across three regions to find out where it breaks.

Imagine Learning outage FAQ

Is Edgenuity down, or is it a problem at my school?
Check the Imagine Edgenuity row on status.imaginelearning.com, since Edgenuity is reported there as a component rather than on a page of its own. If it reads operational, look at your district network, content filter and sign-on provider next. Those account for a large share of the cases where one school cannot reach a service everyone else can.
Where is the Edgenuity status page?
status.edgenuity.com redirects to status.imaginelearning.com. Edgenuity became part of Imagine Learning, and its status is now published as the Imagine Edgenuity component alongside Imagine EdgeEX and Imagine Odysseyware under Courseware. Bookmarking the Imagine Learning page is the reliable option, because that is where incident updates are actually posted.
Imagine Math works but Edgenuity does not. Is that possible?
Yes, and it is the normal pattern. Imagine Learning tracks each product separately, grouped into Core Curriculum, Courseware, Supplemental & Intervention, Assessment and Virtual School Services. An incident routinely affects one product while the rest of the catalogue is unaffected, so read the individual row for the product your class is using.
Will student progress be lost during an outage?
Work that was not recorded should be treated as unsaved until you can confirm it. If a lesson will not submit, have students stop rather than repeatedly retrying, then check progress once the component is marked resolved. Repeated attempts against a failing service tend to produce partial or duplicate records that take longer to sort out afterwards.
Is it our school network or Imagine Learning?
Test from outside the school network, on a phone using mobile data, with the same account. If the product loads there but not on school devices, the problem is your filter, firewall or sign-on integration rather than Imagine Learning. If it fails on both and the status page shows the component as affected, it is the vendor.

How we measure this

  • We request Imagine Learning's public endpoint every 6 hours from Fly.io regions across six continents — the most recent check ran from 8 of them.
  • A region counts as down only when it gets no usable HTTP response. A 403 or 429 means the origin answered and refused us, which we report as blocked, never as an outage.
  • A single failing region is treated as probe noise. We only change the verdict when two consecutive cycles agree.
  • Response times average only the regions that actually served the page, so a timeout never inflates the number.
  • Where Imagine Learning publishes an official status feed we read it too. An all-clear from the vendor can soften an unconfirmed degradation; a vendor-declared outage only worsens our verdict when our own checks corroborate it.
