Measured by FlareWarden's own checks of framer.com from multiple regions every 6 hours. Framer's status page sets the verdict above when it reports trouble, but never these figures. Percentages count only checks that returned an availability answer — 12 days measured so far. A dash means that window does not yet hold enough measured days to publish a figure.

What Framer does

Framer is a no-code website builder and host. Designers and marketing teams lay out pages in the Framer editor, in a browser or the desktop app, manage content in its CMS, and publish to a Framer-generated domain or their own custom domain. Framer serves published sites from a global CDN on AWS, so it is a dependency for both building a site and keeping it online.

What an outage looks like

Framer's status page tracks the Editor and API apart from Sites, its hosting, and they can fail separately. In the editor, 'offline or slow connection, editing is disabled' appears, the editor will not load or publishing fails. Hosted sites return 500 errors, as during the AWS outage on October 20, 2025, or lose assets served from framerusercontent.com, as when its DNS failed on February 10, 2026.

What to do about it

Check framerstatus.com, Framer's status page (status.framer.com redirects there), and see whether Editor or Sites is affected. Framer's maintenance notices say hosted websites are not affected when the editor is down, so a live site keeps serving its last publish; wait before republishing. If a bad publish broke your site, roll back under Staging & Versions. Contact support from the app's quick actions menu by searching 'Contact Support'.

Is it down for everyone, or just you?

If this page says Framer is up but it is not loading for you, the problem is between you and them. Run a check against any URL from up to 17 cities across three regions to find out where it breaks.

Framer outage FAQ

Is my Framer website down if the Framer editor is down?
Not necessarily. Framer's status page lists the Editor and API under App and Sites under Hosting, and its notices for a September 27, 2025 database upgrade and December 5, 2025 service restarts said hosted websites were not affected while the editor was unavailable. A cloud outage can hit both: on October 20, 2025 some hosted sites returned 500 errors until Framer moved their traffic away from the affected AWS region.
Does an AWS outage affect Framer?
Yes. Framer's hosting guide says it is built on Amazon Web Services. During the AWS outage on October 20, 2025, publishing stopped working, some hosted sites returned 500 errors and the editor was fully unavailable for a time. On February 10, 2026 an AWS problem broke DNS for framerusercontent.com, which hosts assets and fonts, for about 80 minutes until Framer switched to static DNS records.
Why does Framer say 'offline or slow connection, editing is disabled'?
Framer cannot reliably reach its server, so it pauses editing to prevent data loss during collaboration. Its help center says this happens briefly when a tab sleeps or a connection drops. If it keeps appearing and the status page is clear, turn off any VPN or proxy, try another network, restart the browser or app and disable extensions. Corporate firewalls must allow framer.com, framerusercontent.com, framer.app and four other domains Framer lists.
How long do Framer outages usually last?
Usually under two hours. On framerstatus.com, the Editor was down for 39 minutes on October 14, 2026, AI features returned errors for about 75 minutes on September 22, 2026, and the AWS-related incident on October 20, 2025 ran about two hours and twenty minutes. One exception: from February 17 to 20, 2026 forms were disabled on free projects, and submissions to them failed silently and were lost.
What does the check on this page measure?
It loads www.framer.com, Framer's own marketing website, which Framer's status page tracks as its www.framer.com row under Website. It does not open the editor, publish anything or load a customer's site. Published sites are tracked as the Sites row under Hosting, so the editor or your site can have problems while this check stays green.

How we measure this

  • We request Framer's public endpoint every 6 hours from Fly.io regions across six continents — the most recent check ran from 8 of them. When you open this page and our last check is more than 30 minutes old, we check again on the spot; those checks update the verdict, never the availability figures.
  • A region counts as down only when it gets no usable HTTP response. A 403 or 429 means the origin answered and refused us, which we report as blocked, never as an outage.
  • A single failing region is treated as probe noise. Our checks only change their verdict when two consecutive cycles agree.
  • Response times average only the regions that actually served the page, so a timeout never inflates the number.
  • Where Framer publishes an official status feed we read it too, and the verdict is the worse of what it reports and what our checks see: a major outage of Framer itself is Down, trouble with one part of it is Degraded, problems at a few of a provider's many locations change nothing, and a security notice that marks nothing down is shown but changes nothing either. A reading counts for 45 minutes; we read the feed again within minutes of any change to its incidents. The availability figures above are our measurement alone.
