What Doxy.me does
Doxy.me is a telemedicine platform that it says more than one million providers use. A clinician shares a room link, the patient opens it in a browser with no download, and waits in a virtual waiting room until the clinician starts the visit. It is used for therapy, primary care and specialist follow-ups, so an outage lands at the moment a patient is waiting to be seen.
What an outage looks like
Providers cannot sign in or their room will not load, and patients arriving at a room link see an error or wait with nobody appearing. Video or audio fails to connect or drops during the call, and text message invitations may never arrive. Because Doxy.me relies on outside services for video, messaging and sign-in, a failure at one of those looks exactly like a Doxy.me outage.

How we measure this
- We request Doxy.me's public endpoint every 6 hours from Fly.io regions across six continents — the most recent check ran from 8 of them.
- A region counts as down only when it gets no usable HTTP response. A
403or429means the origin answered and refused us, which we report as blocked, never as an outage. - A single failing region is treated as probe noise. We only change the verdict when two consecutive cycles agree.
- Response times average only the regions that actually served the page, so a timeout never inflates the number.
- Where Doxy.me publishes an official status feed we read it too. An all-clear from the vendor can soften an unconfirmed degradation; a vendor-declared outage only worsens our verdict when our own checks corroborate it.
