Measured by FlareWarden's own checks of doppler.com from multiple regions every 6 hours. Doppler's status page sets the verdict above when it reports trouble, but never these figures. Percentages count only checks that returned an availability answer — 10 days measured so far. A dash means that window does not yet hold enough measured days to publish a figure.

What Doppler does

Doppler is a secrets management platform where teams store API keys, database credentials and other configuration once and deliver them to every environment. Developers inject secrets at runtime with the Doppler CLI's doppler run command, and integrations sync them to platforms such as AWS Secrets Manager, Vercel, Heroku, GitHub and Kubernetes. Anything that reads secrets from Doppler's API when it starts depends on that API answering.

What an outage looks like

The Doppler CLI cannot reach the API and doppler run pauses before falling back to its local snapshot, the dashboard at dashboard.doppler.com errors or will not load, or secret changes stop syncing to integrations. Doppler's status page tracks the API, Dashboard and marketing site as separate rows, lists each integration (Vercel, Heroku, AWS Secrets Manager, GitHub and others) on its own, and shows upstream vendors such as Cloudflare and Google Kubernetes Engine.

What to do about it

Check dopplerstatus.com (status.doppler.com redirects there) and see whether the API, the Dashboard or a single integration row is affected. If you use doppler run, the CLI falls back to its encrypted snapshot after about 50-60 seconds without Doppler, and --fallback-only reads only that snapshot. Synced platforms and the Kubernetes Operator keep the last values they received, so avoid redeploying anything whose snapshot is not on persistent storage.

Is it down for everyone, or just you?

If this page says Doppler is up but it is not loading for you, the problem is between you and them. Run a check against any URL from up to 17 cities across three regions to find out where it breaks.

Doppler outage FAQ

Do my apps lose access to secrets when Doppler is down?
Not necessarily. Doppler's High Availability docs say the CLI falls back to an encrypted snapshot of your secrets when it cannot reach Doppler.com after a timeout, typically 50-60 seconds, and that apps using the Kubernetes Operator keep reading the synced Kubernetes secret. During the November 18, 2025 Cloudflare outage, Doppler said access through integrations should be unaffected while direct API calls were unreliable.
Do Doppler integrations keep working during an outage?
Yes, with the last values they received. Doppler's docs say an outage only temporarily stops secret changes from syncing to the third-party platform, and apps keep any secrets synced before it. Sync delays are an incident type of their own: on November 20, 2025 background job delays held up integration sync, webhook and email delivery from 07:55 to 11:46 Pacific time.
Does a Cloudflare or Google Cloud outage affect Doppler?
It has. Doppler's status page lists Cloudflare services and Google Kubernetes Engine among its vendors. On June 12, 2025 Doppler reported a system-wide outage tied to GCP and Cloudflare disruptions, with service restored over about two and a half hours, and on November 18, 2025 a Cloudflare outage made Dashboard and API access unreliable for about three hours.
How should I set up fallback files for Docker or serverless?
Keep the snapshot on persistent storage. Doppler's Docker docs say the fallback file should always be saved there, because a deployment or restart could otherwise lose it, and they recommend the --fallback-only flag on doppler run for serverless platforms such as AWS Lambda and Cloud Run. A snapshot is tied to the DOPPLER_TOKEN that created it unless you generate it with --passphrase.
What does the check on this page measure?
It loads www.doppler.com, Doppler's public website, which its status page tracks as the Marketing site (doppler.com) row. It does not call api.doppler.com, sign in to dashboard.doppler.com, run the CLI or test an integration sync. A green result here means the website answers, not that secrets can be read, changed or synced.

How we measure this

  • We request Doppler's public endpoint every 6 hours from Fly.io regions across six continents — the most recent check ran from 8 of them. When you open this page and our last check is more than 30 minutes old, we check again on the spot; those checks update the verdict, never the availability figures.
  • A region counts as down only when it gets no usable HTTP response. A 403 or 429 means the origin answered and refused us, which we report as blocked, never as an outage.
  • A single failing region is treated as probe noise. Our checks only change their verdict when two consecutive cycles agree.
  • Response times average only the regions that actually served the page, so a timeout never inflates the number.
  • Where Doppler publishes an official status feed we read it too, and the verdict is the worse of what it reports and what our checks see: a major outage of Doppler itself is Down, trouble with one part of it is Degraded, problems at a few of a provider's many locations change nothing, and a security notice that marks nothing down is shown but changes nothing either. We check the feed every 3 minutes and read it again within minutes of any change to its incidents or components; a reading counts for 45 minutes after the last check that found nothing changed. The availability figures above are our measurement alone.
