Measured by FlareWarden's own checks of circle.com from multiple regions every 6 hours. Circle's status page sets the verdict above when it reports trouble, but never these figures. Percentages count only checks that returned an availability answer — 7 days measured so far. A dash means that window does not yet hold enough measured days to publish a figure.

What Circle does

Circle is the company that issues USDC, a digital dollar that runs on many blockchains, and the euro stablecoin EURC. Exchanges, banks, wallet providers and consumer apps use Circle Mint to mint and redeem USDC against dollars, developers use the Cross-Chain Transfer Protocol (CCTP) to move USDC between chains, and Circle's wallet and payments APIs let apps build on USDC. Circle Mint is built for institutional customers.

What an outage looks like

Mint and redeem requests stall, Circle Mint API calls fail, CCTP attestations stay pending so a burned transfer cannot be minted on the destination chain, or webhooks stop arriving. Most incidents hit one blockchain: Circle's delay on USDC mints, burns and transfers on XRP was posted on October 9, 2026 and resolved the next day. On October 21, 2026 CCTP attestations for transfers from EVM chains were delayed for nearly two hours.

What to do about it

Check status.circle.com and find the row for your product and chain: Minting and Redeeming rows are listed per chain, and CCTP, Circle Mint APIs, Circle Gateway and Web3 Services each have their own group. For a pending CCTP transfer, keep polling GET /v2/messages no faster than every 5 seconds; Circle's docs say a 404 is expected until the attestation is ready, and more than 35 requests a second blocks you for 5 minutes. Circle's Help Center is at help.circle.com.

Is it down for everyone, or just you?

If this page says Circle is up but it is not loading for you, the problem is between you and them. Run a check against any URL from up to 17 cities across three regions to find out where it breaks.

Circle outage FAQ

Does a Circle outage stop USDC transfers?
Circle does not say, but its incidents usually name a single chain rather than USDC as a whole. Circle's docs describe USDC as a digital dollar running on many blockchains, with its own smart contract on each one, and its status page tracks minting, redeeming and CCTP separately for every chain. On October 22, 2026, for example, the incident covered USDC minting and redeeming on Cronos only.
Why is my CCTP transfer stuck waiting for an attestation?
Usually because the source chain has not yet reached the finality Circle waits for. Circle's docs put Fast Transfer attestations at about 8 to 20 seconds on most EVM chains and Standard Transfer at about 15 to 19 minutes from Ethereum, Arbitrum or Base. The attestation API answers 404 until then, which Circle says is expected. If the wait runs well past that, check the Attestation Service row on status.circle.com.
What happens to Circle when a blockchain itself goes down?
Circle's operations on that chain stop until the chain recovers. On August 30, 2026 Circle reported a Cronos Mainnet outage affecting all Cronos operations and said they would be possible once the network was restored; CCTP on Cronos came back on September 1 and Circle Mint operations on Cronos on September 2, 2026. Circle tracks this kind of trouble under a 3rd Party Infrastructure & Systems row.
How long do Circle outages usually last?
About three hours at the median, though some run for days. Of the 47 resolved incidents in Circle's feed between July 24 and October 26, 2026, 21 cleared in under two hours and 12 took more than a day. On September 22, 2026 the Circle Mint Core Functionality API was partly unavailable for about 75 minutes, while webhook delivery trouble that began the same day lasted until September 24.
What does the check on this page measure?
It loads www.circle.com, Circle's main website, which Circle's status page tracks as the circle.com row under Circle Websites. It does not call the Circle Mint API, request a CCTP attestation, mint or redeem USDC, or watch any blockchain. A green result here means the website answers, not that minting, cross-chain transfers or webhooks work.

How we measure this

  • We request Circle's public endpoint every 6 hours from Fly.io regions across six continents — the most recent check ran from 8 of them. When you open this page and our last check is more than 30 minutes old, we check again on the spot; those checks update the verdict, never the availability figures.
  • A region counts as down only when it gets no usable HTTP response. A 403 or 429 means the origin answered and refused us, which we report as blocked, never as an outage.
  • A single failing region is treated as probe noise. Our checks only change their verdict when two consecutive cycles agree.
  • Response times average only the regions that actually served the page, so a timeout never inflates the number.
  • Where Circle publishes an official status feed we read it too, and the verdict is the worse of what it reports and what our checks see: a major outage of Circle itself is Down, trouble with one part of it is Degraded, problems at a few of a provider's many locations change nothing, and a security notice that marks nothing down is shown but changes nothing either. We check the feed every 3 minutes and read it again within minutes of any change to its incidents or components; a reading counts for 45 minutes after the last check that found nothing changed. The availability figures above are our measurement alone.
