Why there is no uptime figure on this page

The last time we fetched Brainly's page directly, the origin answered and turned our client away rather than serving the page. That answer tells us the origin was reachable and responding, but it is a response about our automation, not about whether Brainly works for you.

What Brainly does

Brainly is a homework help community where students post questions and receive answers from other students and subject experts, alongside a paid tutoring product. It operates country-specific sites rather than one global domain, so students in different markets use different addresses. Usage concentrates around school hours and exam periods, when an outage is least tolerable.

What an outage looks like

Search returns nothing or the site fails to load past the header. Question pages open while posting a new question or an answer fails. Because Brainly runs separate national sites, a student on one country's domain can be locked out while another works normally, which makes reports from classmates in other countries misleading during an incident.

What to do about it

Open status.brainly.com and find your own country's site: brainly.com, brainly.in, brainly.ph, brainly.co.id, brainly.com.br, brainly.pl, brainly.lat, brainly.ro, znanija.com, eodev.com and nosdevoirs.fr are listed as individual components under Brainly Web. Tutoring is reported separately from the main site. If a deadline is close, work from your own notes and textbook rather than waiting for the site to return.

Is Brainly down in my country specifically?
Quite possibly, because Brainly runs national sites as separate components. Its status page lists brainly.com, brainly.in, brainly.ph, brainly.co.id, brainly.com.br, brainly.pl, brainly.lat, brainly.ro, znanija.com, eodev.com and nosdevoirs.fr individually under Brainly Web. An incident affecting one leaves the others working, so a friend abroad reporting the site is fine tells you nothing about yours.
Is Brainly Tutoring affected when the main site is down?
Not necessarily. Tutoring is listed as its own component, separate from the Brainly Web group that covers the question and answer sites. A booked tutoring session can go ahead while the main site is failing, or fail on its own while browsing works. Check the specific row before assuming a session is cancelled.
Will I lose a question or answer I was writing?
Anything that did not reach Brainly is not saved on its side, so treat a submission that never appeared as lost. Copy longer answers into a local note before submitting during a period of instability. Avoid posting the same question several times, because duplicates can all land when the service recovers and repeated posting can be treated as spam.
Is it Brainly or my school network blocking it?
School and campus networks frequently filter homework help sites, and a block looks much like an outage from a student device. The distinguishing test is whether the same site loads on mobile data or another network. Brainly's status page reports per-site components, so a site marked operational while you cannot reach it points to a local block.
Why does Brainly stop working around exam time?
Brainly does not publish capacity information or incident causes on its status page, so load is not a confirmed explanation for any specific outage. What the page does provide is per-site history, which shows whether your country's domain has had repeated recent incidents. Check that record rather than assuming a pattern the vendor has not stated.

How we measure this

  • We request Brainly's public endpoint every 6 hours from Fly.io regions across six continents — the most recent check ran from 8 of them.
  • A region counts as down only when it gets no usable HTTP response. A 403 or 429 means the origin answered and refused us, which we report as blocked, never as an outage.
  • A single failing region is treated as probe noise. We only change the verdict when two consecutive cycles agree.
  • Response times average only the regions that actually served the page, so a timeout never inflates the number.
  • Where Brainly publishes an official status feed we read it too. An all-clear from the vendor can soften an unconfirmed degradation; a vendor-declared outage only worsens our verdict when our own checks corroborate it — and when Brainly blocks our checks entirely, we report the vendor's own status directly.
