Reachability by region

Each region runs its own request from a different part of the world. A service can be up for one continent and down for another, which is usually the first sign of a routing or CDN problem.

What Atera does

Atera is remote monitoring and management software with a built-in helpdesk, used by managed service providers and internal IT departments and priced per technician. An agent on each managed device reports device health and handles patching. Tickets and billing live in the same console, and remote sessions open through integrated tools such as Splashtop and AnyDesk. It is where technicians work all day.

What an outage looks like

The Atera console at app.atera.com will not load, logins fail or actions in the console hang. Healthy devices appear offline, or availability alerts fire for machines that are running normally. Tickets and ticket conversations load slowly or not at all. Remote sessions fail to start, which in past incidents traced back to Splashtop rather than Atera. Some incidents have hit only the EU and UK or only US customers.

What to do about it

Check status.atera.com. It groups Main Dashboard, Agents Health and System Alerts under RMM Services, and Helpdesk, Reports, Billing and the End User Customer Portal under PSA Services, with separate rows for the Admin Console, System Schedulers, Remote Control, API and Robin. If only Remote Control is red, check status.splashtop.com and use another remote tool meanwhile. Subscribe to the status page by email, text or Slack.

Is it down for everyone, or just you?

If this page says Atera is up but it is not loading for you, the problem is between you and them. Run a check against any URL from up to 17 cities across three regions to find out where it breaks.

Atera outage FAQ

Why do my Atera agents show offline?
Sometimes it is Atera, not your devices. The status page has posted several Agents Health incidents where agents appeared offline in the console, and one where incorrect availability alerts fired. Check the Agents Health row before chasing clients. Atera's own documentation also notes that on Windows you can try connecting through Splashtop to a device that shows offline, bypassing the agent.
Why won't Atera remote sessions connect?
Check whether Splashtop is having problems. Splashtop is the remote tool included at no extra cost in Atera's Growth, Power and Superpower plans, and in January 2026 a global Splashtop outage stopped Atera users starting remote sessions until it recovered. Atera also integrates AnyDesk, TeamViewer and ScreenConnect, so a technician with one of those configured can switch tools meanwhile.
Is Atera down only in my region?
It can be. Atera has posted incidents limited to one geography, such as login and stability problems for the EU and UK regions in January 2026 and a service disruption affecting US customers in April 2026. The status page does not split rows by region, so read the incident text to see which customers it names before assuming yours is affected.
Is Atera down if a customer site says so?
No. This page measures Atera's own service, not the devices or networks you manage with it. If app.atera.com loads and the status page is green, a customer outage is theirs to investigate. If the console itself fails from several of our regions, the problem is Atera, so check the System Alerts row too before trusting a quiet console.
Is Atera down for everyone or just me?
Compare the status page with this page's checks from several regions. If both show Atera healthy, look locally: a stale browser session, a single sign-on problem, or your own network. Failures from several regions at once, or an open incident on the Main Dashboard or Admin Console rows, point to Atera itself.

How we measure this

  • We request Atera's public endpoint every 6 hours from Fly.io regions across six continents — the most recent check ran from 8 of them.
  • A region counts as down only when it gets no usable HTTP response. A 403 or 429 means the origin answered and refused us, which we report as blocked, never as an outage.
  • A single failing region is treated as probe noise. We only change the verdict when two consecutive cycles agree.
  • Response times average only the regions that actually served the page, so a timeout never inflates the number.
  • Where Atera publishes an official status feed we read it too. An all-clear from the vendor can soften an unconfirmed degradation; a vendor-declared outage only worsens our verdict when our own checks corroborate it.
