These Happen Every Day. Most Stores Find Out Too Late.

HTTP status checks say “all clear” while revenue quietly bleeds.

Your Page Loaded Fine. The Checkout Form Didn't.

Your checkout page returned 200 OK all morning. Your HTTP monitoring showed green. But a deploy broke the checkout form — the button was gone, the price showed $0.00, and the "Add to Cart" link led nowhere. You found out when revenue flatlined at noon. Customers didn't complain. They just closed the tab.

What this costs you

HTTP status checks can't see broken buttons, missing prices, or empty product pages. Content monitoring can.

Your Ad Budget Just Funded a Broken Page

You launched a Facebook campaign driving 5,000 visitors to your store. Two hours in, your payment gateway went down. The ad kept running. The budget kept spending. Every click landed on a checkout that couldn't process a single order. You paid to send customers to a dead end.

What this costs you

Every dollar spent driving traffic to a down store is gone. And so are those customers.

Your Flash Sale Crashed and Burned

You spent weeks preparing inventory, designing email campaigns, and scheduling social posts. Launch day arrives, traffic surges, and your site buckles under the load you paid to create. The irony is brutal: the more successful your marketing, the harder your store falls. By the time you notice, the buzz is gone and customers have moved on.

What this costs you

The more successful your marketing, the more each minute of downtime costs you.

The Math on Downtime

Every second your store is offline, revenue walks out the door. Here's what the numbers say — and how FlareWarden closes the gap.

From Outage to Alert in About a Minute

When something breaks, every second counts. Here's how it plays out.

T+0s

Error starts on checkout page

Your checkout page begins returning 500 errors. Customers see a blank page or a generic error message. They start leaving.

T+0–30s

Detected on next check

FlareWarden's next scheduled check (every 30 seconds) hits your checkout page and receives a 500 status code. The failure is flagged immediately.

Seconds later

Validated across multiple regions

Cross-region validation confirms this isn't a local network glitch. Checkers across our 18 global regions verify the failure before alerting you.

~1 min

Alert sent — you're already on it

Your configured alert channels fire simultaneously — email, Slack, Discord, PagerDuty, webhooks. Within minutes of the first error, you're investigating. Compare that to finding out hours later from your revenue dashboard.

Dependency Monitoring

Monitor Everything Your Store Depends On

Your store isn't just your website. It's Stripe processing payments, CloudFront serving images, Algolia powering search, and a dozen other services running behind the scenes. When any one of them falters, your customers feel it.

FlareWarden monitors your dependencies alongside your site — so when Shopify Payments shows elevated latency, you know before checkout starts failing.

Content Monitoring

Know When Your Products Break, Not Just Your Server

Your checkout page returns 200 OK but the Add to Cart button is gone. HTTP monitoring says everything's fine. Content monitoring catches what HTTP status codes can't — broken buttons, wrong prices, missing products, and empty collection pages.

Set up checks visually with the point-and-click picker. No CSS selectors or code needed. Monitor the elements that directly affect revenue.

Full Coverage in 2 Minutes, Not 2 Hours

Enter your store URL and Smart Setup does the rest. It crawls your site, discovers your checkout flow, product pages, payment processors, and third-party dependencies, then creates all the right monitors with appropriate check intervals.

Status Pages

Show Customers You're On Top of It

During a checkout outage, your status page auto-updates so customers know you're fixing it — instead of silently abandoning their carts. No more “is the site down?” emails flooding your support inbox.

Show store-relevant services (Storefront, Checkout, Payment Processing, Product Search) with real uptime history. Transparency builds trust — and trust brings customers back after an incident.

Common Questions

Quick answers for e-commerce store owners.

FlareWarden checks your checkout page every 30 seconds. When a failure is detected, it's validated from multiple regions across our 18 global locations to confirm it's a real outage, not a network blip. You'll typically receive an alert within a minute or two via email, Slack, Discord, PagerDuty, or webhooks. Compare that to the industry standard of 5-minute check intervals, where you might not hear about a problem for 5+ minutes.

Yes. Dependency monitoring tracks the services your store relies on, including Stripe, PayPal, Shopify Payments, Square, and any other API endpoint you configure. When a payment provider has issues or elevated latency, you'll know immediately and can take action, whether that's displaying a message to customers, switching to a backup processor, or simply being ready with a response when support tickets arrive.

It's very unlikely. FlareWarden uses cross-region validation to confirm outages from multiple geographic locations before alerting you. By default, checks from 3 of our 18 regions must agree before an alert fires (you can increase this threshold). If only one region has trouble reaching your site (which is common during traffic spikes when a single monitoring location gets congested), you won't receive an alert. This is especially important during Black Friday, flash sales, and other high-traffic events when false alarms would be most disruptive.

Yes. Content monitors watch the actual content on your pages — check that the Add to Cart button is present, verify prices are in the expected range, detect “Out of Stock” text, count product images, and alert on unexpected changes. Set up checks visually with the point-and-click picker. No code needed. Content checks run on the same 30-second schedule as your other monitors.

About 2 minutes. Enter your store URL into Smart Setup, and it automatically discovers your checkout page, product pages, payment processors, CDN, and other dependencies. Review the suggestions, adjust check intervals if you want, click confirm, and your entire store is monitored. No configuration files, no agents to install, no code changes. It works with any publicly accessible URL.

FlareWarden works with every e-commerce platform because it monitors from the outside, just like your customers experience your site. That includes Shopify, WooCommerce, BigCommerce, Magento, Squarespace Commerce, Wix Stores, and fully custom-built stores. If your customers can reach it in a browser, FlareWarden can monitor it. Smart Setup automatically adapts to your platform's URL structure.

During high-traffic events, your store's third-party dependencies are under the most strain. Dependency monitoring tracks your payment gateways, CDN, search provider, and shipping APIs in real time. If Stripe starts showing elevated latency or your CDN begins dropping requests, you'll know about it before your customers do. This gives you time to activate fallbacks, display status messages, or contact your provider's support, all before the issue becomes a customer-facing crisis.

The free plan includes 15 monitors with 5-minute check intervals, cross-region validation, email alerts, and a public status page. That's enough to cover your storefront, checkout page, and a couple of key dependencies. When you need 30-second checks, more monitors, or additional alert channels like Slack and PagerDuty, you can upgrade anytime. The free plan has no time limit and no credit card required.

It depends on your store's revenue. A store doing $10,000/day loses roughly $7 per minute when checkout is completely down. A store doing $100,000/day loses $70/minute. A 5-hour undetected outage can easily cost hundreds to thousands of dollars. During peak events like Black Friday, when traffic is multiples of normal, the losses scale accordingly. The real cost also includes lost ad spend, abandoned carts that never return, and long-term customer trust erosion.

Your Store Never Sleeps. Your Monitoring Shouldn't Either.

Your store makes money around the clock. FlareWarden watches it around the clock, so a 3 AM outage doesn't become a morning surprise.

FlareWarden costs $17/mo at early adopter pricing. One prevented overnight outage saves more than a year of monitoring.
