Choosing the Right Role

Recommendations for different use cases and team structures

For agency team members

Use Admin for senior team members who need to manage clients and monitors. Use Editor for team members who work on monitors but shouldn't manage the team.

For clients

Use Monitor-Only with specific monitors selected. This lets clients see only their own data without accessing your other clients' information.

For content managers

Use Monitor-Only with access to just content monitors. They can verify content checks are working without seeing technical uptime data.

For stakeholders

Use Viewer for executives or stakeholders who need visibility into monitoring but won't make changes. Viewers still receive alerts for the monitors they can see, based on their own notification settings.
