Inviting Team Members

Add colleagues and clients to your account

Go to Team Settings

Navigate to Settings → Team in your account

Enter Email & Choose Role

Enter their email and select an appropriate role

Optionally Select Specific Monitors

Grant access to only certain monitors (useful for clients)

Send Invitation

They'll receive an email to join your account

Note: Invitations expire after 6 hours. You can resend invitations from the Team settings page.

Monitor-Specific Access

Powerful access control for agencies and teams

One of FlareWarden's most powerful features for agencies: invite clients or contractors to view only specific monitors.

Use Case: Client Access

You manage 50 client websites. Invite each client with access only to their own monitors. They see only their data, you see everything.

Use Case: Content Manager

Grant a client's content manager access to only their content monitors. They can verify content checks without seeing technical uptime data.

Use Case: Contractor

A contractor working on one project? Give them access to just those monitors without exposing other client data.

To grant monitor-specific access, select specific monitors when creating an invitation instead of choosing "All Monitors".

Available Roles

6 roles to fit different access needs

Owner

Full account control including billing, team management, and all features. Only one owner per account.

Admin

Manage monitors, team members, webhooks, and settings. Cannot access billing.

Editor

Create, edit, and delete monitors. Cannot manage team or webhooks.

Viewer

View-only access to all monitors and data. Cannot make changes.

Notify-Only

Receive notifications only. No access to dashboard or monitor details.

Monitor-Only

Access limited to specifically assigned monitors. Cannot see other monitors.

Access Scope

Fine-grained control over which monitor types a member can access

When inviting a member, you can optionally limit their access to specific types of monitors:

All

Access to uptime, content, and dependency monitors.

Content Only

Access limited to content monitors. Ideal for content managers.

Dependencies Only

Access limited to dependency monitors. Useful for DevOps teams.

Monitors Only

Access to uptime monitors only. Good for basic monitoring access.

Audit Logging

Track all team actions for security and compliance

FlareWarden automatically logs all significant actions performed by team members, including:

  • Monitor creation, updates, and deletions
  • Team member invitations, role changes, and removals
  • Webhook configuration changes
  • Status page and maintenance window changes
  • Data exports and account settings changes

Audit logs can be viewed by Owners and Admins in Settings → Audit Log. Logs can also be exported for compliance reporting.
