Getting Started with FlareWarden
Get your first monitor running in under 2 minutes. This guide walks you through creating an account, setting up your first monitor, and understanding your dashboard.
Create Your Account
Sign up for a free FlareWarden account. No credit card required.
- a. Go to Sign Up and enter your email address
- b. Create a secure password (at least 8 characters)
- c. Check your email for a verification link and click it to activate your account
Add Your First Website
Once logged in, click "Add Website" on your dashboard. FlareWarden's Smart Setup guides you through the entire process.
- a. Enter your URL: Smart Setup automatically checks your website, finds content that needs protecting, and identifies the third-party services your site depends on
- b. Review suggestions: Check the auto-detected content monitors and connected services, adjust as needed. You can also use the Visual Content Picker to select specific elements visually
- c. Create everything at once: One click creates your uptime, content, and dependency monitors together
Tip: Start with 5-minute intervals to get a feel for the system. You can always change this later. See the full Smart Setup guide for a detailed walkthrough.
Understanding Your Dashboard
Your dashboard shows all your monitors at a glance. Here's what the key indicators mean:
Your site is responding normally
Some regions report issues
Your site is not responding
Click on any monitor to see detailed check history, response times, and incident logs.
Configure Your Alerts
By default, you'll receive email notifications when monitors go down and recover. You can customize this in Settings.
- Incident started notifications
- Recovery notifications
- SSL certificate expiry warnings
For advanced integrations, you can set up webhooks to connect with Slack, Discord, PagerDuty, or any other service.
